This 3-day, instructor-led bootcamp is designed to provide Adobe Real-Time CDP practitioners with the knowledge and hands-on experience they need to effectively participate in an Adobe Experience Platform implementation.
Module 1: LID Methodology
Using a hands-on real-world scenario, learners are taken through the theoretical and practical challenges surrounding a transfer of an existing data architecture into Adobe Experience Platform. Exercises focus on exploring the requirements of the XDM schema and how to effectively translate relational database models into the standardised format used by Adobe Experience Platform.
After completing this module, you will be able to:
- Describe common challenges with data engineering initiatives.
- Transform a relational data model into a NoSQL one.
- Analyze data requirements based on given scenarios.
- Identify what additional data needs to be modified or aggregated prior to ingestion.
Module 2: Data Modelling
Once learners have developed their entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) in the previous section, they will learn how to implement them in Adobe Experience Platform. As part of a deeper dive into the purpose and features of the XDM schema and why it is used across Adobe’s suite of martech, learners will create their own schemas using both the web UI and the developer APIs, showcasing the power to programmatically spin up campaigns in seconds.
After completing this module, you will be able to:
- Translate a NoSQL data model into XDM schemas.
- Describe the capabilities of the XDM schema.
- Utilize the Adobe Developer Console APIs to efficiently create schemas.
- Evaluate the best fields to use for a schema’s identity.
Module 3: Hydrating the Profile
Having put the framework for their data in place, learners discover the multiple data ingestion methods through which they can start bringing data into the Adobe Experience Platform. Using both a simulated cloud location for batch data and an API endpoint for streamed data, learners obtain first-hand experience with their data pipelines, making use of the powerful transformation capabilities.
After completing this module, you will be able to:
- Describe the key stages of setting up a dataflow for different source connectors.
- Evaluate the best source connector for bringing data at different speeds into Adobe Experience Platform.
- Transform incoming data during the mapping process using calculated fields.
- Monitor and troubleshoot dataflows.
Module 4: Real-Time Customer Profile Audiences
With their customer profiles now ingested, learners can now exercise their marketing acumen and creativity by learning to leverage the segmentation service to build audiences. They discover the different segmentation speeds, and their use case profiles as well as how decisions taken in previous steps affect what they can do with their data.
After completing this module, you will be able to:
- Explain the layout of the Audience Builder UI
- Understand the key limitations of different segment evaluation speeds.
- Evaluate the necessary rules needed to meet the requirements of an audience use case.
Module 5: Audience Activation
Adobe Experience Platform is built for activation and in this final section of the course, learners are taken through a detailed dissection of common use cases and the activation patterns that would be most appropriate for each, making use of Edge, Streaming and Batch destinations, showcasing the flexibility of the platform.
After completing this module, you will be able to:
- Describe different activation patterns for audience data.
- Explain the key sections of the destination setup process and what information is required for different destinations.
- Evaluate the most appropriate destination based on a given set of requirements.
